MESSAGE FROM PRESIDENT, DSGMC
The world around us, is dynamic and ever-changing. And so gradually, it is being accepted that children born at the late end of the 20th century and subsequent generations can expect to have around five careers over the course of a lifetime. For most industries, soft skills such as adaptability and empathy are considered just as valuable in a new employee as the skills and qualifications they already hold.
Now more than ever, it is crucial that education colleges integrate new learning techniques to help prepare the aspirants for the future workplace. It is truly a pleasure to see how Guru Nanak College of Education has been employing newer techniques in their teachings to keep up with the updated curriculum as well as the latest trends in education.
I would especially like to mention the efforts of the college’s governing body including the Principal- Dr. Jyoti Bhalla, who has been working tirelessly to keep abreast of the latest requirements and trends in the interest of their students; ranging from the college’s infrastructure to the regular professional and personality development activities for their staff and students.
All the best to all of you as you continue to learn and grow each day. Wishing you well for your continued success..!!
MESSAGE FROM GENERAL SECRETARY, DSGMC
It is overwhelming to see that the educational sector has been recording positive changes in every tier of education, in the recent years. Right from the primary classrooms to the university levels, child-centred approaches and the concept of experiential learning are being promoted.
Keeping in line with the need of the hour as well as projected trends of the upcoming years, it is Guru Nanak College of Education, which has always believed in encouraging their students to pursue their dreams and nurture their hidden talents by giving them enough exposure through a number of seminars, conferences, workshops, real-life classroom experiences etc.
This is also very much evident from their students’ exemplary performances in the curricular and co-curricular activities at intra and inter-college levels.
I further extend my warm wishes to the college management, Principal- Dr. Jyoti Bhalla, staff members and students for their future endeavours..!!
MESSAGE FROM CHAIRMAN GNCE
From schools implementing blended and hybrid learning to higher education programmes being delivered online, the education sector has improved substantially. India will soon overtake all other nations in terms of knowledge output, claims the NEP 2020.
While we at Guru Nanak College of Education have made some strides in the direction of competency-based learning strategies, there is still much to be done.
As the Chairman of the governing body of GNCE, I must uphold that the college is committed to bring about accessibility, equity, quality, affordability, and accountability into the educational system.
Today’s pedagogy includes collaboration, celebrating others’ success, learning from each other, critical thinking, team spirit, self-evaluation, innovation and decision making skills, which in turn, facilitates a confident and positive personality. All these are the core aspects of our college’s philosophy since its inception, and the legacy is being carried forward by the Principal- Dr. Jyoti Bhalla, a dynamic educationist of the 21st century.
I must admit that currently, we are in a very good position to confidently stride forward to serve our Nation to the best of our capacities.
MESSAGE FROM MANAGER GNCE
Employers, today, are looking for self-management skills including resilience, flexibility, active learning, and handling stress in challenging times. The need to encourage skill-based learning is the demand of the present. It therefore, becomes imperative to upgrade our courses and their applications from time to time.
Guru Nanak College of Education is one such college that is committed to develop and empower its pupil trainees to face challenges awaiting them in the real world with responsibility, innovation and collaboration. Every possible effort is made to bring out the best in its students and help them not only to succeed in their academics but also in co-curricular activities. GNCE also acknowledges the need to equip its students with leadership, critical thinking, communication and technical skills.
It therefore, gives me immense pleasure to be a part of the governing body of GNCE at this opportune time when our college is scaling new heights with every passing year..!!
Message from
Dr. Jyoti Bhalla, Principal GNCE
Teachers play a very important role in the lives of their students. They act as a guide, mentor, and supporter in taking their students to heights. The teacher is the nation builder. He/ She brings out the best in each child which leads him to the way of success. A positive relationship between the teacher and the students should be developed to achieve quality education. It also contributes to the development of a sense of belonging and encourages students to be more participatory. The teachers can shape their students’ future. They are the supporters and the role models for their students who teach them to work hard and shine like a star.
I am delighted that the college is growing so fast and our pupil trainees have been performing very well in both academics and co-curricular activities. The faculty at GNCE are putting their best efforts into drawing out the best in each student.
“Learning takes place if the willingness to learn more, inspires us every moment”.
